Attention Women of St. Joseph Parish every woman who attends St. Joseph is a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) aka Altar Society.

What does the PCCW do?
- Purchase palms, altar cloths, altar fixtures, surplices, candles, wine, and hosts for Eucharistic services
- Stipend for masses for the living and deceased members of the PCCW
- Purchase food and supplies (funeral dinners, paper products, cleaning supplies, etc.)
- Host High School graduation breakfast, send care items to college students and
servicemen - Pay for monthly church cleaning and laundry services
- Donations to various church events and groups
- Pay dues to the Lincoln Diocese Council of Catholic Women (LDCCW) and National
Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) - Donations to Propagation of the Faith, Madonna Plan, Right to Life, and other
worthy charities - Send cards and care items to shut-ins
- Host annual diaper drive in October
- Support the works of the parish

How Much Does it Cost?
- Monetary dues of $30/year or $5/bimonthly OR $2.50/monthly
- Use the PURPLE envelope (one is in each pack of collection envelopes) or pay via
the parish online giving. (additional donations are accepted and can be made anytime
by anyone)
When are meetings?
- The Altar Society officers meet 5 times a year – All women are welcome to attend!
- Meetings occur on Mondays, in the Parish Center at 6pm *please check bulletin to see if time/date changes

What if I don’t like meetings?
- Join a circle – currently there are 6 circles
- Volunteer to help with church activities, funeral dinners, etc.
- Donate food and/or clothing to help those in need
I don’t have the time…
- Involvement is completely voluntary – you can give as much or as little time as you want
- Main Altar Society meetings are approximately 90 minutes
- Circles meet based on their schedules
- Each circle plays an important role which is determined by their interests and talents
(decorating, volunteering at church functions, tech savvy, volunteering for funeral
dinners, cleaning, Meals on Wheels, baking/cooking, etc.)
The Altar Society is in need of the special talent you possess. Start by joining
